The Ninth Annual General Meeting of SCPS was held in the 10 th floor conference hall of Bikash Bhavan. Hon’ble Minister (Independent Charge) chaired the meeting and it was convened by Director, CRT. Senior officers from the Department and the Directorate, SCPS personnel, Officers from other line Departments, Representatives from different NGOs were present in the meeting. Discussions on annual activities of SCPS and financial audit were carried out. Annual report of SCPS (2018-2019), IEC materials on Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and Guidelines for Support Persons under Section 39 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 were launched by Honorable MOS in the meeting.
A video conference on accounts related issues of DCPUs, SAAs, GO & NGO run CCIs was held with DSWO, DCPU and Accounts personnel of DCPUs, SAAs and CCIs.
Five day’s training of newly recruited CWC Chairperson and Members were organised by SCPS at Seva Kendra, Kolkata. The training was conducted in a participatory manner incorporating different legislatures, child psychology and policies on child protection plan, linkage with allied legislations e.g. PCMA, 2006, CLPRA (Amendment), 2016, ITPA, 1986, Roll of the CWC training, record keeping, record keeping & MIS, maintenance of registers, CTS, submission of the reports to appropriate authorities, visit to CCI and SAA, challenges faced in the implementation of the J.J.Act, 2015, assessing own mental health, self care, mental health of children, skill practice etc.

A training was conducted through VC at Bikash Bhavan Conference Hall for the DCPOs, PO-IC and the CCI Superintendents on restoration, repatriation, recent SOPs and guidance on trafficking and on CPC repairing and maintaining template.
Two days orientation cum review meeting on adoption, sponsorship and SAA CCI Linkage from 18th to 19th June, 2019 for SAAs and DCPUs of ten districts of South Bengal Zone was held at Saikatabas, Old Digha, Purba Medinipur.

Six days training of Counsellors of DCPU, CCI namely phase-II of batch-III from Bankura, Birbhum, Purba Bardhaman, Purulia, Purba Medinipur and South 24 Parganas was organised by DCPU-Birbhum,SCPS and DCRT in collaboration with UNICEF in Bolpur, Birbhum. Sammikhani being the technical agency, the training was made participatory.

Two day training on professional child care methods for the nurses of the specialised Adoption Agencies was carried out at ICMARD building. Doctors from the Dept. of health and Family Welfare were invited to facilitate the technical sessions.

The meeting was held in the conference hall of Bikash Bhavan where the meeting was chaired by Secretary, Dept. of WCD & SW, GoWB. Director-CRT convened the meeting where senior officials from other line departments were present in the meeting. The main objective of the meeting was to expedite the repatriation of Bangladeshi Children.
The meeting was held with an objective to expedite the repatriation process of the Nepalese children residing in the CCIs and to formulate the repatriation path of these children.

was organised in collaboration with CARA at Stadel. The programme was on Adoption, SAA-CCI linkage and

A meeting of the Executive Committee of SCPS was held at the
conference hall of Bikash Bhavan. The meeting was chaired by
Ms. Sanghamitra Ghosh, Secretary, Dept. of WCD&SW,
Government of West Bengal and convened by Ms. Richa Misra,
Director, CRT, Government of West Bengal. Senior Officers of
the Department of WCD & SW and Directorate of Child Rights and
Trafficking, officials from SCPS, UNICEF were present in the meeting.
